towing question

just wondering, but has anyone ever towed a 20-25 foot travel trailer with their lowered truck on airbags and an 8" notch?

I think as long as you minimized the tongue weight of the trailer (200-250lbs), you shouldn't have a problem. I've got a bolt in C-notch in my 69 and plan on pulling an 18-22' trailer that should weigh around 4000 lbs. I will probably use a trailer equalizer kit to help reduce the weight on the tongue.

Re: towing question

I tow regularly a 2 ton 2 axle 18' trailer with a 3500 lb truck on it. I'm not lowered but there is a fine line of dragging butt and having the trailer constanly pushing the rear of the truck all over the road. if I go 600 lbs on the tounge I drag the hitch on low rises. If I go 200 on the tounge the back end is being push all over the highway side to side and up and down. 400 -450 seems about right. not to much push and not to many road scars.
