Carpet too Big?
2 Attachment(s)
I put fatmat down, and then went to put my trim-plus carpet in, but it looks too big. If I have it even on one side, it hangs off the other. I also don't know where the extra carpet in the back goes. I don't believe it goes over, or under the tank. I don't really want to cut the carpet as it seems to have a sewn edge. Anyone else experience this?

Re: Carpet too Big?
Have you formed it to the bottom of the cab all the high and low spots. It will settle once you start putting the seat back in and tightening down the carpet will sink into the low spots and should fit fine. The carpet in back is suppose to go under the tank and the side flips over inside the cab corners. Why this is I don't know but it's how mine worked out. It looked as yours does now. I didn't put the sound deadner in though.;):chevy:

Re: Carpet too Big?
Its for a truck with a relocated tank. That part that hangs over goes in the cab corner behind the door

Re: Carpet too Big?
thanks. I think I will just trim the back off...Don't reallly think I need carpet down inside the cab corners.

Re: Carpet too Big?
All trimparts carpet come oversize in the back and the sides to trim as needed. Better too long than too short:lol:

Re: Carpet too Big?
Agreed, the Brothers carpet I just got it 1/4" too short on one side - be happy it's too long...

Re: Carpet too Big?
Looks familiar.
Got my TrimParts carpet from Brothers. I just went through this same thing. I called TrimParts and was told they do make their carpets bigger back there to allow for trimming. And, they sell two different carpets for tank-in & tank-out applications. Model #53006 (the one I bought) is the for tank-in application and fits just like the one. |
