Air Pump

Hi all. I just bought a 84 GMC lb with a 305. Someone has taken the air pump off and plugged the lines from it. I want to remove it completely but not sure if it will cause any problems. So if i continue on removing all of the related parts, will i have any trouble with anything else? Since i live in Arkansas i don't have to worry about inspections or anything.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Air Pump

Rip it off.

Just get the correct belts and make sure you hook your vacuum lines up to the right places incase you've messed with any of them.

I was out in the middle of nowhere (and I do mean NOWHERE) when my air pump took a dump. I took it off and was able to use a smaller spare belt to get going again. I left it that way for nearly a year before I had to get my truck smogged. Ran great without one.
