New wheels on my '72! (Pics!)
Hey guys & gals,
Last weekend I scored a heck of a deal (IMHO) on a set 15x10 Progressive wheels..... I think they look great on the truck! They also came with decent 295/50/15s on one pair of wheels, and 275/60/15s on the other pair. See the pics below... http://home.insightbb.com/~russ72c10/Sidewheels.jpg http://home.insightbb.com/~russ72c10/Sidewheels2.jpg Here's the thing. I put the wider 295/50s on the back.... but, the overall tire height is about 1" - 1½" shorter than the 275/60s up front. I plan on eventually either getting ALL 295s, or the 'right' size of 275, 255, etc... up front. But, for now, here's a Question.. Should I keep the Wider (but shorter) 295 on the back... or swap the narrower (& taller) 275 to the back? I think it would "look" better with the tall tires in back.... but I also like the extra meat on the ground... What do you all think? PS - Yes, I do have that molding piece that's missing.. :D |
Nice truck.
They look great.

Where'd you take those pics??? No snow yet in Decatur?? Btw, sweet truck :D
|
The pics were taken in the parking space in front of my townhouse..... Moundford Terrace to be exact! The ol' truck gets the space w/o the carport.... poor thing... :whine:
Oh, and we got dumped on with 6" or so inches of snow the weekend after the pics were taken! :p |
Them are some sharp looking wheels I like them also nice truck, Anyone know of a set of stock ralleys for sale at a good price I'd like to get some, If anyone knows e-mail me thanks

I would leave the wide ones in the back. You may have rubbing problems if you out them in front.
If anyone asks..tell them it is for better launching out of the hole. If they know anything about drag racing...they'll know what you mean. |
I really like those, they look nice on your truck.
Sure wish I had a short bed!!:D :bowtie: |
