Interior Dying Question

Has anyone dyed there arm rests or an interior part. Need to know what to use. I want to dye my arm rests the 71 bright blue color or med. blue color. My truck is a med. blue super cheyenne with the blue interior. Is there a dye out there that someone has that matches and hold up well? Thanks

I don't know about a match for your color but I have used a product called SEM vinyl dye and it has worked very well for me. I did the dash pad for my '57 Ford with Red, interior parts for the '72 GMC with Saddle, and just finished some interior parts for the '71 Chevy 4x4 with Black. All of the colors matched the original interior colors really good. Maybe I just got lucky...

Can you get the dye at ABS or some place like that, or is there a web site for SEM to order off of. Thanks

Take a look at these guys. I have used their auto paint in a spray can but not the dye. The colors are supposed to straight from the gm color codes.

Thanks garryk
It looks like that would be the dye to use. Don't like the idea of buying $60 bucks worth to do 2 arm rests though. I saw some dye in Brothers and LMC has anyone used their product?
