will the sway bar from a 74 half ton bolt onto my rig without drilling holes?

With different bushings i think so yes, if your rig came with a front bar. Why use a half ton though? you could use a 3/4 or 1ton bar and it'll make your front end firmer. If i'm wrong ont the swap some one here will correct me i'm sure.

You will have to drill out 2 rivets out of the front crossmemeber to bolt on the frame swaybar brackets.

Big69: Will the bars from the 3/4 and 1ton work OK too? The one I'm looking at is 1 3/16". How much bigger are the others?

1 1/16" bars will work too, all of them C30 and under are all same dimension,s just different diameters is all, brackets same, no problems through 87,

that 1 3/16 is a big bar. i think there are 1 1/4 bars out there, and if you buy one from a nice 4x4 shop they might have some bigger, maybe 1 5/8 possibly. Good luck.
