WIW 71 Blazer body and Good double wall top
 

I am wondering what this is worth. I am looking at a 71 Blazer body with Excellent double wall top and hatch. Some of the interior is there, and may include the front clip, but it's rusty. The body is ok, but needs work. Title would be included. No frame or running gear. I'd like to make the guy an offer on it, but want to make sure I am not paying too much.

I think I would think of a fair price to offer him for the best parts. Take that number and make him an offer to haul it all off.

I am thinking $500 for it. Does that sound fair? He said the windshield frame is good, but the top was on so I couldn't get a good look.

Are you looking for a project to make whole again, or a parts truck? If your looking to restore. Make sure the windshield frame is solid. If you feel that there is $500 in parts worth, then yea.
Don't be so nice. Make it out that your doing him a favor by hauling it off for him. Low ball him, then go from there.

Well, I am looking for the top mainly as it was perfect. The cluster was there, as well as most of the dash components including the wiring harness. The body is restorable, and I have located another 71 with a good frame and beat body for $450. The original idea though is that this would be for parts to start, and possibly become another project if I became ambitious.

The guy had told me he'd sell the top for $400, or make him an offer on the whole thing.
