should i get it?

Hey gang, ran across this truck and am considering getting it.

If I can get it for a decent price I am either going to drive it as winter beater or pedal it and with a little work sell it and make a few bucks.

What do you guys think...don't hold back either since I value all opinions...good or bad.

Thanks - Jeff

Heck of a price. I'd use it for a winter beater like you mentioned. Once you get Yeller going you want to keep it off the winter roads.

If you have the bucks to spare, why not? At least it will get out of that damned ford for awhile. :D

Yeller has never and will never see snow!

About the '76, what is the most you would pay? I talked to the guy and there are "some" holes in the floor about the size of a fist...othewise he said it runs real good. The holes don't bother me too much cause i can fix that, i just don't want to spend too much on the truck in case i decide to sell it.

I have a set of 8.5 rally wheels and two newer tires i can throw on it, I am also going to remove the rear mangled bumper...that stuff should help.

if worse comes to worse, I am pretty sure i could part it out and do OK also.

Any ideas out there?

What parts do you need to finish Yeller? Maybe some donor parts to use then sell out the rest to make some profit if you don't drive it.

I think it's a good deal at his buy it now. Surely you could turn it around and sell it for more than that with new brakes, tires, and a rear bumper. A truck like that would sell in our area for at least $2000 if it's running good.

I'd say go for it! Looks like a good truck for the price!

Better hurry, before one of the others on this board decides it might be a nice buy, too! ;) Naw, I wouldn't do that. :D

i'd say, remove the bumper put a set of 4 matching wheels on it, ditch the cap and running boards. and you should be able to get at least $1500 out of it if it runs good.

That's opportunity knocking my friend. You can fix it or part it out and still be ahead, if your plan to use it as a beater dosen't pan out. Good Luck
