Exhaust question

Had a quick question on exhaust. I am going to replace my 73 big block exhaust thinking of 2 1/2 inch no cats with flowmaster 40s?/ Any ideas would be great. Also an estimate of cost for complete install in So Cal?? Also only saying flowmaster 40s from other members posts. So any suggestions there would be great. The truck has headers.

Re: Exhaust question

I have delta 40's on my 350 (mild RV cam). They can get loud around 1800 to 2300 RPM range, but not too obnoxious. My exhaust system consist of full length headers, 3" collector dumping into 2-1/2 dual's with H cross over. I paid (in 2006) $400 at plaza muffler (Westminster) including mufflers. You have to hang your own headers, and sneak into shop if you have open collectors! BTW, CHP office is next to muffler shop (Golden West).

Ask for Tony - he loves to do classic - older rides.
