1972 C/20 Truck parting out

3 Attachment(s)
Sorry for being away here; too much stuff happening at home.

I had this one sold at one time to have the guy back out over time.

Here is what I have:

Location: Southern California LA area

1972 C/20 Truck.

What I have is a clear titled, California registered, Currently Non-Op'd : 1972 72 Chevy Chevrolet Bare Truck C/20 Cab.

The cab is a 1972 72 ONLY A/C Small Block Large Rear Window Cab.

$650.00 OBO

It has very minimal to NO rust at all.
The only issues are at the typical spots where the door weatherstripping is installed at - at the bottom of the driver and passenger door areas.

The rockers are VERY clean; will not be an issue as I see them.

I have the rest of this truck, but I am keeping...for now, the bed and tailgate.

The #'s matching frame I still have. It's a longbed. It is a multi-leaf rear, NOT the trailing arm set-ups.

It currently has a DANA 60 rear axle in it along with it's rear leaf springs.

I have a majority of the SBC bracketry for the engine, including I think almost ALL of the SBC A/C bracketry to install the Fridgidare A/C compressor.

I was going to make this into a small block from the big block it had in it.

The BB stuff is gone.

If there is something that you are looking for, You would have to set up a weeknite or weekend to see it.

Please be respectful of my time and availabilty to come and see this.

Serious Inquiries PLEASE!

My Loss is Your Gain!

You know, I took this whole truck apart myself, it was a runner.

I am sure it is all there!

A/C goes with everything together; It wouldnt make sense to seperate that stuff.

As I start selling this stuff off, I will assemble the A/C as a complete set-up.

Re: 1972 C/20 Truck parting out

As you see in the pics, I was going with the SBC set-up but I did aquire that 454 sitting on the frame.

That 454 is available.

I built 2 400 SBC 408 motors; either one I was going to use in this.

Both of those motors are for sale.

One 408, .040 over, has 6.0 rods and BowTie cast iron heads.
This motor is a H-EU pistons flat top piston, close chambered head build.
This one is a 4-bolt main GM block.

The other 408 is .040 over, 6.0 rods with 487 heads with 2.02 / 1.60's.
This motor is a H-EU pop up piston open chambered set-up.
This one is a 2-bolt main GM block.

HEI was not available on these models until later years, maybe 75.

Any wiring for an electronic choke would either have to be manually fabricated, or...
Have a reproduction/refurbished system wired to accomplish that!

I usually select a switched 12 Volt supply that is fused to the electronic choke when used.

When using an HEI in these, take particular NOTICE to the wire that you are using to supply that 12-Volt source.

Using a lesser amperage wire may cause either hazardous electrical fires and/or ignition failure.

The electrical demand to operate an HEI is significantly higher than a points system!
