Looks good!!

Blue_71 05-17-2002 11:07 PM

do you use patch panals or make your own patches?

ebfabman 05-17-2002 11:10 PM

I use the aftermarket ones. They never seem to fit good, so I just hammer them til they fit.
seems they are thicker than the original sheet metal, I'll measure tomorrow...

I just did the driver side on mine yesterday and it was a piece of cake. Mine fit perfectly. Paint is next.

I agree that they do appear thicker than the stock sheetmetal. Finally, something in our favor on repro parts! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/wink.gif

Wish I had a digital camara!

On mine we had to bend them around a bit to get them to match up correctly We didn't replace it all the way back to where the indentations are in the back of the cab... we trimmed that off. That way we didnt have to worry about lineing that up.

Runs well... working on body.
Plan to get painted weekend before memorial day weekend.
Planned to be done March 7 when I turned 16. Didn't happen. Chose to do better job and be behind schedule instead of 1/2 doing it and it looking like junk.
