Re: Got my frame back from the powdercoater today
looks better than mine, under all my pretty paint, the frame still has the original coating on it.

Re: Got my frame back from the powdercoater today
I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE POWDERCOATED. I did all of my sandblasting myself and then painted. This looks soooooo much better. WOW, I like!!!

Re: Got my frame back from the powdercoater today
powder coating does look awesome, but its expensive. i spent 500 dollars just on the front newer style k frame and daytona shelby rear axle going on my 86 aries wagon. i had them zinc prime the parts first for better corrosion resistance. but i am going to coat the bottom of the car (and inside on the floorboards) with poly truck bed liner because it acts as sound dampener AND will resist chipping off like powdercoating and conventional undercoatings. Al's Liner sells do it yourself materials that are supposedly superior to all the name professionally installed name brand companies. they also make clear and you can tint colors to your liking. gonna do the liner on my k wagon to match the paint so that all the nice black powder coated pieces stand out. in a few years down the road when my 72 suburban needs work, i will probably coat everything with bed liner. but powder coating looks awesome on a show car!
