Grill emblem on 09

Does the bowtie just pop off? I felt behind there but I didnt feel any nuts or anything holding it on. I want to remove the bowtie so I can paint it. Thanks for input.

If they are the same as my 08 they clip in. Take off the filler panel that goes from the grille to the radiator support, grab a flashlight and you will see where to release it from easier than feeling for em.
