What is wrong with this color

I don't feel like trying to paint the whole truck again. I remember all the sanding that I don't want to go through again. I am talking about the blue truck not the one Luca is sitting in even though it dose kinda look like a VW Bug Convertible..

Nothing wrong that I can see. Doesn't look too bad honestly. There are better colors for our trucks but as far as the color blue goes that's a fitting shade. I've always loved that shade and the shade that YOLO used on his '63 Chevy. Why?

Re: What is wrong with this color

why paint the whole truck??just add graphics,, flames,, pearl ghost flames,,to tone it,, stripes,, pinstripes,,depending on what you want to cover..it's a nice base color,,use it!!

I like it, and I've never seen another that exact shade before. So... you can be proud that your truck is different!

Re: What is wrong with this color

It acually dose have ghost glames... There are alot of touch ups that need to be done and I was going to paint the upper part of the cab white because I have a fleetside bed with body trim. I don't have that stepside bed anymore. At least I won't have to repaint all the doorjams and stuff.

Why you ask? I got a fleetside bed for it, that was original on this truck and I like the fleetside more. I was going to repaint it a differnt color but most of the paint is in real good shape so I am just going to go with it still. I think my friends were talking me out of it, but I am going with it. Now I just have to go repaint the engine and inner fenders..

I think it looks good, too! I have to agree with bobjob......add to it and have fun with something and dont get involved in a total repaint. It is a ton of work.

Re: What is wrong with this color

Yeah just get it color matched and go with it, its a cool looking color imo

If your friends want you to paint it a different color they should be over there helping you do it

Re: What is wrong with this color

:agree: with all of the above...it is a nice blue and will look sweet as a fleet, heck you could even go gray or another color on the top to make it new to you.....my $.02

Re: What is wrong with this color

I like that color. Can't wait to see it with a fleet bed. How about a pearl white for the top and side trim...with a blue pearl... That would look good...

Re: What is wrong with this color

It is acually a GM color. Bright Poly Blue or Bright Blue Met or plain old GM Med Blue. It is in the years from 88 to 91 and the paint code is 4106 and it is in the book.
