What I did this weekend
4 Attachment(s)
I started the weekend by replacing the front left hub and rotor. I had a little accident a while back and they needed replacing. So I replaced them, got some new lugnuts to replace my only rusty ones. I also installed the chrome carpet hold down in the rear, rerouted some wires, and put on my front license plate.

Here is some pictures of my rear seats. I haven't been able to get a chance to put them back in after the frame off last year. I first was able to paint it black. I built the sub frame some years ago when I was in college. The 2X2" tubing allows for a nice storage space under the seats and in the back.

The blue pieces are from a 78 burb. They fold down and have a stainless piano hinge. I am eventfully going to use them to make a folding cover for the back storage area. Then I think I am going to use some plate to create the sub floor for the are the seats attach. Sorry about the mess in truck, one of next things I need to do is clean and vacuum the truck.

Re: What I did this weekend
Hey jaybub, I really like the rear seat frame. I have a similar seat for my Blazer out of an 04 burb. What are the specs/measurements on it? Also, how'd you mount the fronts? I have the same as well. I'd like to fab up something similar. Any pics wld help. Thanks dude. Back to the progress, how difficult was it to replace the rotors? I'm gonna do the same this week. Do I need any special tools? What about seals/bearings?

Re: What I did this weekend
I can't find any more pics of the frame. Seriously, for the measurements I just went to a used car dealership asked to look at an 02 Tahoe and got the measurements. I then just welded the frame, made tabs for the existing bolt holes, and drilled holes in the front rail for the front bolts. Then I attacked the seats on the metal rods, made marks on the frame for reference, took the seats off and welded the rods to the frame.

I hope you don't mind me stealing I mean borrowing your frame idea. I bought Black leather 02 Tahoe 3rd row for my blazer to match the black leather 04 Acura seats I have in the front.

already carpeted the boxes no pics yet and I just painted the frame black and I'm not going to cover it I think it's covered enough by the seats not to worry about it. |

Re: What I did this weekend
Looks good, I like how the boxes work with the roll bar and don't interfere with getting in the back from the front.
