Re: One-and-a-half years later...

Wow - I really appreciate for the positive comments! It cost me a lot of money, sweat and the tip of a finger (angle grinder...) but I managed to do everything myself except the windshield (cracked the first one so I had the pro's do the next), charge the A/C, and mount the tires. I took it down to the frame and replaced nearly every nut and bolt. Lots of wire-wheel, solvent and POR-15 got all of the rust, too. First time I painted anything, but it looks good from 10 feet or so. Now my garage is blue, too. I have learned so much from reading (lurking, I suppose...) the posts here on this site - I could not have done ANY of it without the information that I learned from this board. Thanks.

Mine wants to look just like the stepside version of yours, when (if) it's ever done.

I understand the "10-footer" paint job. Mine is a 20-footer. :metal::metal:

Congrats !!!!!

It looks GREAT.

Beautiful, beautiful work. Well done.

Mine's been referred to as a "fifty footer". And make sure you squint your eyes and turn your head sideways.

Ya done good!!! And in only a year and a half.Lots of folk have way more years than that in one and don't even have it ready for paint.
Truck looks good, and you'll get used to the milage since you'll want to drive it A LOT!!!!
