I came home today from and 5 day trip to the lake pulling my boat with the 71 GMC and my Wife driving the 73 Motorhome and your package was on my doorstep.

Hey Dan,tell the whole story about what it was and why you wanted it.It`s all about camping.That`s cool you just got back from that very activity.I love the`73,BTW.

OK,

Here's the story. I traded for a 71 GMC "Longhorn" Custom Camper, which has been my dream truck since I was a kid. My dad had a 70 GMC Custom Camper with an El Dorado Camper on it from the factory. I started a thread asking for pictures of peoples trucks with campers, specifically El Dorado Campers, and Longhorn trucks with campers on them.

Special-K sent me a PM saying he'd like my address to send me an old El Dorado pamphlet, complete with price list from 1971!! It has a picture of a 71 chevy on the cover with a huge slide-in on it. I went camping this weekend with my "NEW" 73 Chevy/Mitchell Motorhome Camper Special and when I got back last night, my package from Special-K was here. This is really cool and will soon be framed in my living room.

Very Cool!! If I keep the 72 ElDorado I just bought I will be loading the kids up this summer and hitting Manitou so the kids can tear up the north pole... in it, well even if the Eldorado does not make the trip we will...

Aw...it weren`t nothin`but a coupla pieces of paper.I like it when a thing and a person seam to go together.Don`t lose that one.The next one`ll cost ya big bucks!! :lol:

I live blocks from Manitou in the Old Colorado City part of Colorado Springs.

Oh, and you should post pics of that El Dorado you just bought!!

You're new here ain't cha?The members here rock!I don't know how many times I've seen stuff like this happpen here.I mentioned one night I needed to find a good valve cover for my 250 and Cyclone44 asked for my addy and sent me one.Tyhe members here take care of one another like family.

Oh ok,

I didn't miss that one. I just had to replace my keyboard from the drooling....

There's one similar to that one here in my neighborhood except it's a red 1970 GMC. I'm going to see if the owner will let me take some pics here real soon.

MEXICAN FOOD? What`s that place in Canon City that seres the great food?I`ve been there and everything i heard was true.I didn`t eat everything,but my whole family loved what they got.Just can`t recall the name.Maybe a woman`s name?Have any idea what I`m talkin`about?

I guess you`d have your hat off then,too?In better times I you would have seen me out in Columbus by now.it`s not like the thought hasn`t passed my mind.But,I`m talking about paying each person who says bad things about me.They better have eyes in the back of their heads.:lol:
