GMC rear leafs and brackets on a Chevy
Ok, I think I have decided to do the conversion on the rear of my truck using GMC stuff. From what I have read, GMC brackets, leafs, and shackels should bolt right up to my previously coil spring rear end with the addition of some holes? I have looked at several trucks at the salvage yard, and I see no difference between the 2wd chevy's and GMC's. So my question is this, do they sell aftermarket lift springs that will fit this setup? I am looking for 4 to 6 inches of lift.
Thanks, Gene |

Coil spring? I was not aware that you could get a coil spring rear suspension on a 4x4? Was this truck converted to 4 wheels drive?

Re: GMC rear leafs and brackets on a Chevy
I have a set of 52" springs from my 3/4 ton and 4" lift blocks with u-bolts from Rough Country I'll make you a smokin' deal on. I never installed the blocks as I decided the horsepower would be too much for them. I ordered a set of custom springs to keep my 3/4 ton capacity from Suspension King in Pennsylvania.
The shipping is the problem. $75 plus shipping which could be over $100?? |
