Jon - 67/68 cabs didn't come with these from the factory. Will these work on them?

They should Rob- everything in that area is the same (cab floor support, "A" post, etc.)

I'm interested but have no clue where these actually go, since I have a '68 and guess they did not get them.

Can you post a pic where they actually mount? I'm not getting the idea from the written description.

Thanks

on your front fender you have one bolt at the lower rear part of the fender that passes through a round hole in an extension of the "A" post. To the rear of that hole you'll see two bolts that pass through the "A" post and into the front cab support. If you remove those two bolts this would go on the backside to reinforce that piece of the "A" pillar that the fender bolt passes through.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is this an area of concern? What does this part help? Thanks!

three reasons to use these:

1. full restoration where they are missing or not servicable

2. hold your fender on if you've got a truck where the "A" post mount is rotted and you're not quite ready to replace a lower "A" pillar

3. chicks dig 'em

You live in AZ where you probably don't suffer some of the maladies those of us in the NE do.

Re: Fender mount reinforcing plates

I got mine this morning and they look great! Almost too nice to put on! I wanted them mostly because of #3, but mine were completely rotted off, so I thought I needed them. Just bolting the fender to the A pillar seemed kinda flimsy.

Those maladies go with 38 year old plow trucks from Northern WI too!!

Great to hear!

A Lot of members don't completely understand #3 about this part. That's why confused members (Special-K) think it's necessary to chrome plate or color match the part to achieve #3....not so
