custom deluxe scottsdale big 10? |
Re: difference?
Custom deluxe and Scottsdale are different trim levels.
Custom deluxe would be the most "base" level. Typically that means plain-er trim inside, maybe a rubber floor mat, single headlamp, grey grille, painted bumpers, no side trim, etc. and a corresponding lower price. Scottsdale might mean a carpet upgrade, black inserts in the door trim, and the opportunity to "opt up" to a chrome grille, and maybe even a chrome insert on the IP bezel. My '87 Scottsdale has a rubber floor mat (which I ordered), black inserts in the door and IP trim, but no coverage on the bottom of the doors and no headliner (there's paint showing). Incidently, you didn't ask but Silverado was the highest trim level (including a headliner and interior garnish trim, carpet on the lower part of the doors) and got all the chrome and appearance goodies. "Big 10" was a special package, like a "Heavy Half" or a "Beau James". I think the Big 10 got a heavier rear suspension and therefore a higher GVW rating. The "10" refers to the 10 series or 1/2 ton truck rating, the "big" implying a 10 series with a bit more "oomph". I'm speaking somewhat in generalities because it varied a little bit from year to year; there may be others that can chime in with more specific info. HTH - K |
Re: difference?
Kieth pretty much summed it up. There is a lot of detailed info about the differences here.
