WTB: Dropped Spindles

Looking for some used dropped spindles. 2.5-3" for the 1.25" HD rotor & I'm in the Dallas/Garland area.

I saw some on craigslist locally for 73-87 C10, is that the one that takes the HD rotor?

Scoti, I have a pair of Early Classic 2.5 inch spindles. They are for 63-70 ball joints and tie rod ends. They have the ECE 5 lug rotors, bearings, calipers, and hoses. I bought them new from ECE and used them for 4 years on my stepside truck before I parted it out.

I'd go 225 for the whole deal. I work in Hurst, so the drive wouldn't be too bad.

If Scoti passes I'd be interested depending on shipping costs...not trying to hyjack your thread though...

There is a company in Phx that sells new Western drop spindles for our trucks (63-70) for $199. If you are interested let me know and I'll get you their contact info. They are a big company (advertise in most truck magazines)

Re: WTB: Dropped Spindles

I've already got the calipers, rotors & backing plates from my 68. I used the spindles for 'testing' when I was working on the Budget Big Brake kits (we wanted to verifiy the 'kit' would work w/both stock & dropped spindles) which necessitated cutting of the OE caliper mounts.

That's a good deal but right now it would just be more parts I have to store (which I definitely don't need  ). I would use my big brake spindles but I'm going w/some 'old-school' 15" wheels & the 13.4" brake components won't fit.

Re: WTB: Dropped Spindles

I'd go 175 for the spindles alone.

Not really interested in packaging and shipping this stuff. It's incredibly heavy.

I know you're 24/on & 48/off type schedule & that the general public doesn't let you know too far in advance when they'll need you ( ), what's the best 'time' to meet? That will factor into things tomorrow as we're having the 'sweet-sixteen' b-day festival for my GF's daughter so I imagine there will be more than one honey-do for me.
