65 on a 73 to 87 frame

hello everyone im new to the site and i am about to start building my 65 chevy c10 lwb it was my first truck had it for 10 years and hasnt been toughed in about 8. so my question is what do yall think would be the best way to go either shorten my existing frame or to put my body on a 73 to 87 short wheel base frame? thanks for all the input in advance.

Definitely shorten your existing frame. If you mount your '65 body on a '73-'87 frame you'll have to make all new frame brackets for the body mounts and it will end up with a body lift. It will sit about like a stock K10. BTDT

If you're wanting front disc brales just swap the suspension from a '73-'87 to your '65 frame. Much easier and better IMO. For the rear you can either swap the '73-'87 differential into your truck or get 5 lug conversion axles for your '65 differential.
