no, you will actually use one less. The power steering box uses four bolts and the manual uses three.

I have this crazy thing with eliminating creature comforts in the name of simplicity. Two less hydraulic lines and a power steering pump in the engine bay...we will see if I will be kicking myself...

no more hoses or pump to replace no fluid leaking out all over the place (they all do) lighter and less power drawn off the engine |

The trick to manual steering is to get some weight off the front end.
I did a 2-4 drop on my 69 which eliminated the rake and put more weight on the rear end. She steeered like a dream afterwards. Now my 62 with a big block v-6 and manual steering is a different story.... |
