Blazer/Burb bumpers needed....

for my 74 in the N.Tx area. I've already got a decent stock 74 front but need a clean chrome rear w/brackets or I would consider putting later model bumpers from a 81-87 if I can find them w/brackets. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a salvage yard north of Whyle off 78 that I believe had a stock bumper on a burb. What part of Dallas you live in ? Maybe we can hook up Sat and go check it out. Big10 and I did about a month ago.

I'm in the Garland/Rowlett area off of I-30. What wrecking yard?? Discount or Roy millers? I went out to Blacklands in Rockwall just before Thanksgiving & they had several burbs but all of them had damaged bumpers. I'm going to give my parts connection guy @ the chevy dealership a heads-up & see if he can locate me some new or used.

Another yard that did have several of 73-ups is out in Nevada off HWY 6/Lavon HWY. That's where I got all my disc conversion stuff for my 68 but I haven't had much time to make it back out there & see what their inventory is these days.

This one is out 78 north. From Wylie. Guy has piles of stuff inside an old shack. A few rigs sitting out back. Its where I got my front sway bar.

Both Discount & millers are the first yards on the left side of 78 in between Sachse & Wylie.

bumpers

the burb brackets are different because the frame is. I have a rear one from 78 P/U complete with gravel guards ( the little metal pans on the top) . DAVE

Dave, are you willing to sell the gravel gaurds seperate and if so, what kind of shape are they in (dents, rust?) and how much are you looking for?

TIA - Jeff

Scoti- That's the one Pbkinplano and I went to (in Nevada). He crushed a bunch of trucks he said. He did get alot of stuff from them though. I know he had a burb out there but not sure about the bumber on back.

I try & make it out there when I can cause the guy @ C&H is pretty nice to me. My parents live just up the road off of HWY 6 so anytime they need automotive related parts or towing they go to him.
Funny story: The last time I went out there my old man was actually standing @ the counter, I came in beside him & stood there for several miutes (he even turned & saw me) before he realized his own son was standing next to him. I don't have kids of my own but I would hope if they came up beside me I would recognize them immediately!:D
