'93 Chevy seat in a '67? Need help
I know it will fit, but how easy, or hard is the install? I found a seat for $100, it's black with grey inserts, cloth was said to have a worn spot but isn't ripped anywhere. I thought about getting it and installing it. My stock seat is nice and clean but I want a new look. This seat was compfy 12years ago but not so much now lol. Anyone have pics? This one isn't a 60/40 split, it's designed that way but doesn't split, it has a armrest that folds down. All around a good $100 spent. I'm getting it tomorrow.

Re: '93 Chevy seat in a '67? Need help
I have the same seat in my 69 that I bought from a board member. but mine is from a 94 and it's gray. the front two holes line up perfect, but you'll have to redrill the two rear holes. just remove the bottom bracket, bolt in the front bolts, and drill your rears. But make sure you reinforce the rear holes with fender washers to distribute the load in case of an accident. That's what I did on mine. I have a pic of the seat on my cell but I can't load it on my lap top, I'll try to get it loaded on my desk top later and get it posted up for you. Oh and by the way, you'll LOVE that folding armrest.

I'm looking forward to that armrest lol. I don't know if it's my stock seat, or the way I sit right by the door, but when I get in it I tend to slide towards my door, touching it lol. I don't like that, puts the wheel off center, way to my right. For a $100 I think I'll make the trip to get it. It's about $30 in gas but I like it.

Re: '93 Chevy seat in a '67? Need help
When I bought my truck it had buckets out of god knows what, maybe a geo. All I know is I felt like a 90 year old lady driving it. the seats were so low I couldn't even see over the dash, and Im' 6'2". But I paid $300 for mine and I drove from Omaha to damn near St.Louis for mine, But the wife and I made a weekend vacation out of it. And we got to meet and hang out with a cool board member (lolife99) with even cooler rides.

Ok, I got the seat from the '93 Chevy. I like it already, and the arm rest is awesome. None of the bolts lined up, the '93 brackets are an inch wider at most. I have to drill all four holes and use washers I guess.

one suggestion,
when you drill new holes, make sure to reinforce the underside, otherwise in an accident, the bolts/washers can rip right through the floor (ask me how i know :banghead:). a couple pieces of plate, will help distribute the force, and the details are up to you (one square at each bolt, one strip each side, welded, bolted, etc)... |
