Hood Ornament Differences?

OK- I have been searching for a hood ornament for my 78-- looking for a chevrolet ornament-- and I was wondering what is the difference if any in the 1973-1987 ornaments?? I see them on ebay from 1980 up but not 1978? can someone explain the differences and post some pictures?

Lot of 67-72 guys in my part of the country use 1st generation monte carlo hood ornament . Never seen one on your generation of truck but would suspect it would look good . But maybe you want oem truck ornament > my 2 cents worth.

It would have to be from a 73-80 truck 81 and up the hood style is a little different
