well to start off i bought this on ebay for 830 bucks. Title says its a 69 but I think it is mistitled. yes the vin matches the title. it has a hand operated ebrake and grille is a 68. anyway here it is as i bought it for 830. pics are straight from the ebay auction.

gutted the inside and pulled the bed (sanded and spray painted the frame temp to stop rust) which had a sheet of osb in it. After pulling the osb i found this...

well latest progress is I gutted the bed rails and trashed em they was just too far gone with cancer when repop are like 100 bucks a set. Also started to pull the drive trail to clean up the bay and paint. Also ditched the exhaust manifold with the crack on the ear and getting the flowtech part#11510 headers from jegs.

Got a question guys...what is a good place for a replacement oil pan for the 250 inline?

Re: My 68 stepside build

Update!

Will get pics up soon but as of today....

replaced all 4 wheel cylinders
replaced front/rear brake shoes
replaced hydraulic brake hoses front/rear
pulled heater core and shaved firewall
shaved third brake light
installed new front shocks
cut one coil from front coils
installed 6" drop rear coils
installed new adjustable rear track bar
driver rocker panel install is complete
fixed passenger rocker rust
USED OEM core support with no rust installed
repop passenger side fender

I still need info on an oil pan for an inline six???? Is it the same pan as a small block? My pan is shot and leaks like crazy!

Re: My 68 stepside build

Well the chassis is pretty much done and the inline is getting rebuilt as I type this. The block will now be .040 over. I rebuilt the 4 speed as well. I will get some pics up soon.

I got the inline 6 back awhile ago and have put it back in the truck. The truck is now in the stages of getting into primer.

I removed motor and honed it and re-ringed the pistons. Also replaced every gasket from oil pan to carb and rebuilt the monojet 1 barrell. I have never removed the cab but need to change the cab mounts so I will be in the future.
