steering shaft issues

I am doing a pretty custom build with my old c20. I got a fatman front end (with a mustang II rack), motor mounts from performacne concepts, adapter plates from hot rod lane and I am putting a 6.0 ls2 in it. I'm unsure of what to do for a steering shaft, I want to run my factory colomn. What options do I have for a sterring shaft?

Re: steering shaft issues

I dont have the mustang type steering on mine but I did change to manuel steering and I replaced the shaft from colum down with bar stock , not sure what its called but it has rounded sides and is flat in the middle. I made the connection with splined joints , its all moly or stainless steel so I believe its strong enough for the job. I believe you could go the same route on yours without too much of a headache. I bought all the parts from Jegs or Summit,
Oh and it does have a certain cool factor to it.
