Re: awesome patina
thats not patina, that's rust.
That sight is common up here, that one is only 1/2 bad. Common to have the whole roof rusted like that. A guy at work has a 92-ish caviler POS, has holes in the roof. |
Re: awesome patina
Florida weather is the best for our hobbie. Just moved to the panhandle it's a little diff then central Florida.

Re: awesome patina
1) What is meant by the term "patina?"
2) i actually have that on my similar era chevy. a) i think that is actually very typical of the paint of gm cars 88ish to about 93ish. |

Generally patena in car guy circles means looking aged, or light surface rust. Light sheetmetal rust today is a rust hole later. |
Re: awesome patina
Ahh, the Beretta...The rust will be the best thing to ever happen to it.

Re: awesome patina
That's not patina....it's what is generally refered to as a "de-lam".
Patina is the gradual wear and fading of the original paint, which may or may not show some slight surface rust. In general you don't see it much in the eastern part of the country because the rust takes over before they can get to that stage. In the south-western part of the country, the sun and dry conditions make this happen w/o eating the car/truck up. |
