You may want to check your local Craig's List.

There's usually always a good selection on E-bay,
and if your'e not in a hurry and play the game you could pick one up at a good price.

Thats my guess to be the best bet. If CL is letting you down look on ebay.

Re: Edelbrock

I have bought and sold several intakes on Ebay, there are many on there. However, please beware of stripped carb stud and water outlet holes, etc. The aluminum is soft and it is not uncommon for people to strip these holes out. To fix one stripped hole would eliminate any savings you obtained from buying a used one in the first place, unless you already have the helicoils and installation tool in your home tool chest. Also look out for electrolosis/corrosion damage in the water outlet area and be sure to ask if the sealing/gasket surfaces have been checked with a straight edge to ensure no warpage.

It is hard to beat Summit or Jegs, plus you will need gaskets and stuff!Sometimes cheaper ends up costing more.:flagw:

I looked for a used one for quite a while before I realized the difference in price wasnt much, people usualy dont let them go very cheap, If you can afford it buy new and you wont have to worry about the condition and you will have a warranty, sometimes people screw things up and try to sell them to gain there money back and sometimes there is good used stuff out there, just have to weigh the risk reward vs $ amount

i see nice ones on craigslist on a regular basis as well as at the sswapmeets and fleamarkets// usually in the $40-$60range that basically need to be cleaned and detailed but all bolt holes being good
