I have been neglecting my k5 for some time now, almost a year. So i thought it was time to give it alittle love. The plan is to paint it inside and out, then debut it at turkey drag 09' it wont be finished but much closer than it is now.
The last few months i have been talking to a friend of mine about what i would like to do to the truck and i think we have found a solution. Here is the latest progress. The top has been worked and is in primer, the old motor is out and should be on its way to a very good home soon.
i pulled out the new motor and cleaned it up real well then got it taped up and sprayed with nothing but the best, chevy orange!! enjoy: http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSCF1374.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSCF1373.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSCF1372.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSCF1370.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...r/DSCF1369.jpg |

And I know what your talking about with the firewall, It took me a long time to get that off. I little help from a grinder did it.. |
Re: Bdydrptk5, start of a happy ending
Wet it with tar and grease remover (or 3M adhesive remover) and let it soak for a minute. Follow up with a scraper. Repeat as necessary.
I too have been following your Blazer, even from the transformation from 4WD. Looks like it is going to be slick when it is finished. |
Re: Bdydrptk5, start of a happy ending
Here are a few updates for you.
The firewall is being filled and smoothed along with welding up some holes in the body, one major dent in the tail gate came out really good. And for what your all waiting for pics: http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0blazer/b6.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0blazer/b5.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0blazer/b4.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0blazer/b3.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0blazer/b2.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0blazer/b1.jpg |
