lowering question

I have a 07 silverado classic that is stock height and stock wheels. My question is if I put on a rear leveling kit is it going to make the truck ride bad? Also does it hurt the truck in any way?
Thanks for your help

I wouldn't imagine any problems with just a leveling kit. The kits have come a long way since they started so there shouldn't be any problems with putting it in either. The lower you go the rougher the ride usually gets. With just a leveling kit, I wouldn't think you would notice much difference.

Do you mean shackles? The only problem you might have is the notorious GM lean. Measure your truck now, and I'll bet that is is 3/4-1" lower on one side. Adding shackles will make it more visible.

On my 06 Silverado, I had to drop it 2" on one side and 1" on the other for it to set level.
