Chevy Truck Heritage Center

Ok guys...I was watching this video when they came upon our beloved model years (67-72). They have a 71/72...I'm not sure which year but...you will see/hear a couple thinks which were not true about our trucks. Can you ID the errors. There might be more than two but those are the ones I picked up. And...I might be wrong on the one ... Ok let the quiz begin.

I couldn't pick out any glaring errors.

That is one...I don't think "stereo radios" were an option in our trucks. I thought all the AM-FM radios were mono. So you got one. I am impressed because I thought that was the harder of the two to guess. One down one to go. :metal:

Some errors on the part of the person in the know....the black "57" isn't a 57. I think it's a '55. As for the question of whether or not the truck is a '71 or '72.....I think it's a '71, based on looking at the mirror NOT being mounted to the windshield.

As for the "host", he sounds like he really likes holding onto the mike......

Thanks for the input ChevLoRay...
I missed the 57 not being a 57. I wonder what else he mis-spoke on? The 71 still has something not correct. And it is...

The horn button?? I doesn't look right to me but it may just be the camera angle/glare.

That may be but it is not the obvious item that is not stock for this truck. Keep looking...

Ralley wheels were optional with our trucks...........Just kidding. Bingo we have a winner! :ennyd: :five: :ennyd: :five: I really thought the wheels would be picked first. But then again so many of our trucks have the Ralley's that many think these were an option with our trucks.

Yeah, no stereo when you only got one speaker under the dash. Speaking of Gm heritage, I will only ever own pieces of it. No new government motors vehicles for me. It's a shame

Nope. The '57 is a '56. The '57 had hood bumps (kinda' mimicking those on the '57 cars that had rockets in the front tips) and a completely different grill from the '55 and '56. The only really visible difference between a '55 (second series) and the '56 is the hood emblem. On the '55, it was configured more like a "T." This one is definitely a '56. ;)

I have never seen the sport mirrors turned that way. Is that common or is that the other error ???

Dang! After I read that, I couldn't listen to those guys talk without being totally distracted. I was pretty annoying, wasn't it?
