Man, it looks fresh dipped!
You know I've never tried the claybar deal. It's been quite a few years since I hand waxed one of mine also. I've gotten in the habit of running through the automatic carwash and paying the extra buck for the wax. Yeah I know it's not the best for the finish but it's better than nothing. ;)

That's about what I did.

I washed it up at my house, hardwater started setting in.

Drove it into town, fed $8 into the washer and sat back

That's a good looking truck. From your other post I was sure I was gonna see ghetto wheels on it....hats off to you for not ruining a good truck!

PS...I see you have XM....what's the other antenna for?

Re: Cleaned up my '04

Onstar

and it's going to get 2/4 or 4/6 on some OEM NNBS 20" wheels

Don't know if you consider those ghetto.

Re: Cleaned up my '04

Nawwww....OEM wheels aren't ghetto by any stretch. These trucks can handle 20's easily. Ghetto is when the wheels are wayyy too big for the truck or car...Ultra Ghetto is the rubber band tire profile to boot.

Well OEM Sierra 20's on 275/55's is what I'm planning on.

Re: Cleaned up my '04

That looks sweet....if I ever got another Sierra for a street runner, I'd definetly think about that setup versus stock.

They look like they might be wider wheels than the stock 7.5's....are they?

MB it looks like you have 285/75/16 rubber on yours. I have the same on mine. A touch taller than I am used to but it rides good. The extra sidewall helps that.
How bout yours Kelly? What size?

I've got 265/70R17's. I think they ride nicely.....they're Goodyear Wrangler AT/S.

Okay Manbearpig, since you did such a good job on your ride, I figured I'd break out the trusty Craftsman buffer and get after it with some Meguiar's Swirl Mark remover, followed by a hand applied coat of Meguiar's Gold Class wax... It took me a while and a few margarita's to get it done, but here it is!

btw, wheels are 20x8.5, with 285/50/20 General UHP's.
