Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
Ive been looking at FBIRIDES.COM because I think they are up in here Nor. Cal but I know there's gotta be someone else out there just as good or better..
Not looking to go the cheap route but not looking to drain the account either.. Kinda middle of the road kit.. Any suggestions? THANKS!! |
Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
Check out the board vendors. They generally offer quality products at reasonable prices.

Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
that's what Id like to do..
someone chime in with the products they've had luck with... I bought the ECE dropped spindles, power disk brake kit, springs, 6 lug rotors/drums etc etc but I cant find the wheels I like....so now I have to buy the 5 lug rotors and drums. These only have 40 miles on them.....I really need to plan better!! I was going to fix that problem first but thought it might be better to get the bags first so I KNOW how big of wheels/tires I can go. If I can sell these cross drilled rotors, drums...Ill throw in the 6 lug axles and wheels/tires. Then I can swap everything over. THANKS!! :metal: |
Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
do you have trailing arm rear suspension? or leafs? trailing arms are easy. the only thing is the pandard bar, as the suspenion does up and down it does not stay centered. you need a watts link or something along that line to accomadate for the up and down movements to keep your axle centered at various ride heights. if you have leafs, I like some of the two and for link kits, air over bar can leave you with a sorta soft or bouncy ride from what I hear. I like the KP components rear bolt on 6 links. those ride great and offer loads of lift. all depends on what you wanna spend. you can dump thousands into a nice suspension. keep us posted. pics when you start the install! lol they are mandatory

Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
trailing arms...I have adjustable panhard bar.
I dont want to spend thousands but I dont want to buy something that's Im completely unhappy with either. Anyone have luck or horror stories with FBIRIDES.com or *****************? When I get to work, Im going to start looking at the vendors.... but shhh dont tell my boss Uncle Sam... |
Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
You could always hit up Dom or I. We could try to our best to get you all the info that you would...
And as far horror stories, everybody is gonna have them. And I know the guys at SD and FBI, and they are all stand up guys. No complaints from me on either. |
Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
I've dealt with just about them all, they all have great parts with great prices, but AVS gets you your parts the fastest.

Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
FBI was ok by me. They have some really cool people, and easy to deal with. However, my bags(Slams) were on backorder. I waited for over two weeks, nothing. Switched to Doms and they were dropshipped from Airlift. Waited for them, called Airlift, never showed anything going my way in the system. Called FBI, nothing, so I was pissed! I was talking to the guy bagging my truck, and I about talked myself into buying from a guy in town and I'd have in two business days. After I got off the phone with the guy bagging my truck, doorbell, and bags on my front porch. Great products in my kit! I love the Doms, great bag! Only thing I would say not to get, IMO the 480c Viair is junk, takes 15mins to fill my FBIs 7gal tank, and the 380c comes with their kit, 480c is and upgrade. The AVS switchbox is great, it's much smaller than the FBI kits 10switch. I hate it because I always hit bumps or turn and bam, it flies in the floor lol, switch hit. I need a kill switch to the box so hitting a switch won't happen, but I don't like keeping it by me. I'd rather have a stationary switchbox or just toggles.

Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
I have always got my parts in a reasonable time frame. FBI was speedy, on the parts in stock, if they are on backorder, I'd go elsewhere.
As always, post pics!! Dont think anyone said that yet. |
Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
Give me a call. I'm about 45 minutes away from you. I will at least give you advice on what brands I like, and what parts you still need, if you buy stuff from me or not.

Re: Best Bag Set-up for the Buck?
suicidedoors and avs are the best imo. cool people to deal with and are very helpful. avs is always running sales every 2 days also, so that might help you out.
