I feel ya....
I have to thank my HOA, they gave me 2 choices, get rid of it, or get it running. I chose the later, now I have no garage space, as it shares it with my 68 firebird (next project).
I was originally just going to get the 6 running, but I had a chance to pick up alot of parts from an 81 C10, and a 72 C20, and a plan came together, funny how you get sucked in as you start to remove parts. Goes something like this....
Well now that I am going to put in a V8, that three speed has to go. Got a good truck four speed, this thing is gonna haul, now how am I gonna stop it? Oh I can just bolt in a disk front end form a 72 C20.
Dang that old manual box is a piece of junk, may as well get power steering. Wow power steering, POWER need more POWER, may as well upgrade all the way to power brakes. Man that crossmember is crusty, better clean it up, now that its nice an shinny no way I am putting it on that crusty frame. That frame looks great, but the engine bay sure looks shabby now, better clean that up too. That is about how far I have gotten....but the resto bug has set in, and there is no end in sight.
Good luck with your build.

I know how you feel. I've gone through this exact thought process. Two years later I'm 60% done. What part of Vegas are you in?

I have a house in the Silverado Ranch area, Southeast, almost in Henderson.
I have been following your build with great awe... you are very skilled, makes my work look like a hack job! I look forward to seeing your progress, you rock dude:metal:

Tell me about it. I tore into mine about 3 years ago after being able to drive it for 4. I am only to here with it right now. :waah: I can get alot farther if I just get the darn firewall painted. I can't do that at my house so I have to tow it to the shop that is 60 miles away.
