new from milwaukee (68 burban)
Hey everyone -- new here and 1st post.
Picked this up about a month ago, and have been lurking here and working on it. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...90809-2037.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...90809-2038.jpg those were pics from the night I drove it home 307, 3 on the tree It hadn't been run for about 4 years. The PO did a lot of metal work, and it was sitting in his shop in bare metal. I've driven it to work a few times as it is, but I'm slowly taking it back down to bare metal and priming it with epoxy so it won't rust. I've had it a month, and so far only the roof is done. My dad had a 67 c20 and 69 c10 when I was in high school -- they were my favorite trucks, but I'm really partial to the 67-68 front end. I saw this and had to have it. Planning on keeping it fairly stock looking outside, maybe a tbi conversion, some different seats, I'd like to bag it, and find a b-w overdrive unit for the 3spd, who know what else -- probably paint it orange w/ a white top. a few more of it (pics from the PO's shop): http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...90804-1956.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...90804-1956.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...90809-2122.jpg I just noticed the wheels on the driver and passenger side don't match. |
