Hey all,
My name is Richard and I'm currently in the Wichita, Kansas area. I've been looking for a project car for a long time, and just recently decided that I'd like to go the truck route instead. My goal right now is to find a '72 C-10 for less than a grand, and then start fixing it up. The grand figure isn't necessarily a monetary limitation, it's just the condition of truck I'm looking for. I really want to test my skills and learn a lot in the process so it seems like a good way to do it. Plus after all that work I'm sure it will be rewarding to finally cruise down the street. This might sound pretty pathetic, but I was never really into trucks untill I watched Dazed and Confused for about the 12,487th time. Every time I saw the '72 in that movie I just kept thinking "Man, that's sweet!" I'm not going for a D&C clone or anything, but it's definitely what sparked my interest. Thanks to everyone who put this site together! It looks like a great resource. I don't have a lot of (hardly any) truck knowledge to bring to the table, but if anyone needs any advice with a sound system I'm a very experienced and certified car audio installer. I look forward to learning a lot from these forums! |
