Will 1989 rims fit 71-72?

Howdy folks! Hope all is well! Got a question, I got a chance on a good deal on a set of 17" Eagle Alloys - the fella says they are 5X5 and that he had them on his 1989 but they should fit a 71-72 fine. I just want to make sure that that year rims is interchangable with a 72. It's a 70 mile ride to go pick them up and I'd rather not take the '72 because I haven't hooked the air back up yet.

Cheers,
Jimbo

They fit! Watch out for your dust cover though. I moved a set of 18 Budnik mercurys from my 89 to my 72 and the dust cover were about 1/8" to long. I lucked out and the Budniks have a center cap that could be pushed out a little and still allow the rims to fit. And the caps stayed put. I would test fit the front first if you can. Just to make sure.
