Is this what I need?
After alot of reading I have decided it is a better option to bag the front suspension of my truck to lower instead of using drop springs.
I have come into contact with a local guy who has 2 chassis tech 2600 bags dual port 1/2 in 4- 350psi 1/2 in valves two plates and a 5 Gallon tank I can pick it up pretty reasonabley. The truck Im looking to bag is a 84 C-10 I am wanting to keep the stock A arms until I have more money to invest in tubular. I am wanting to know is the chassis tech 2600 bags the correct type of air bag I will be able to use on my front suspension? ****Question 2*** To use the stock A arms Im going to have to use cups for the bags to sit in correct? Is a 5 gallon tank enough volume to use for a front suspension bags or will i need something bigger? |
Re: Is this what I need?
5 gallons is enough yes, however I wouldn't use chassis tech products to bag my matchbox car. Plates go on the tops of the bags but cups for the bottom.

chassis tech is crap from what i hear.

Re: Is this what I need?
Chassis tech is crap... I would go with some slams or dominator bags.

Re: Is this what I need?
I have 2 chassie tech add 2 air lift dom 2600 bags. The air lift are a much better grade rubber. The price is a little more but if it saves you a tow home. The only reason I got the C/T bags is a buddy lost his job and needed cash,so I"ll take the chance there brand new and I have other spares just in case.

Re: Is this what I need?
Chlsnk you are on the right track, but I would be reluctant to run used bags especially if they are AIM/Chassis Tech. If the valves are AIM/Chassis Tech I would pass on them too.
The plates should be fine, and one 5 gallon tank is enough for front and rear. Yes, you will need cups with the stock arms. |
Re: Is this what I need?
Im still alittle unsure on putting it together and how it should properly be done. Is there any good write ups you would recomend me to read? N2Trux I read your write up you have linked in your sig and what you had on your truck before with the new stuff was exactly what I wanna do!
