I guess I missed something somewhere. I wasn't aware it was known who owned that one.

I hope you can get it 61TWUK and get it finished. I think that one is my favorite crew cab I've seen so far.

Yeah it was on craigslist, i talked to the guy but didn't have a place to keep it, then it was bought by the twin brothers that have a on-going craigslist ad with 25-30 trucks, can't remember their user name at the moment....

Re: Looky what I possibly found...

they posted it up on here as a craigslist add with the 3 pics joe posted about a year ago, those guys from tx, I think saw it here, and went and got it, then they posted that first pic you have , saying they got it. that is all we have heard about it...

If you do go get it, or even look at it...please....
post up some pics of it, better than what we have now...

I am curious about :
how the tops are welded together
the rain gutter area where the two tops meet
the roof post section in the center of the doors
the suicide rear hinges
the headliner
the front of the rear door.

Re: Looky what I possibly found...

If I remember correctly, it was $850 for the cab and short wide bed when it was on craigslist. Let me do some digging and see if I still have the email I got from the original seller.

well I talked to the guy about 15 mins ago and I'm going down on thursday to look and make a deal... he is trying to sell the truck as a hole but all I need is the cab... I plan on just using the rest of my 61 to make it a 61 extended cab...

How much with the bed? Who did the custom work on it?
I will try to give you a shout this weekend. Thanks, Joe

The drivers door operates as stock. The passenger side doors operate like a Chevrolet S-10 extended cab, you open the front door first and then you can open the rear door. He grafted a 1964 back half on to the 1962 cab. The roof needs to be completed on the outside and the inside, and the floors will need work too. That is why I'm selling it cheap, because it does need a lot of work. The bed was worked by a professional with very little bondo used. There is no wood in the bed. The man has had this truck stored inside for years. I bought it about 3 months ago and it is stored outside now. That's another reason I'm selling it cheap, It needs to be inside. If you want both of them, I'll take $600.00 for the pair. My business hours on Saturday are 8am to 4pm, on Sunday 12noon to 4pm. Give me a call, I'll describe it as best I can. Thanks,JT

I still have JT's number if you wanna talk to him for any reason.

Re: Looky what I possibly found...

Yea I talked to Darren he is one of the "twins" he wanted more than that for the cab/bed/frame?/ and front clip. But I told him that all I wanted/needed was the cab.

On a side note he said that they had TWO crew cabs (NOT FOR SALE) "I tried" like I said earlier I'm heading down there on Wed. to make some kind of deal...
