Seat Belt bolt help

I have (2) stripped togue bit bolts that I am trying to remove from my 82' SWB. The other two on the passenger side came out without a hitch but, the drivers side is hung up. Is it better to drill them out or cut the heads to allow a socket to fit over them? I have no idea why GM would use these over regular hex head bolts. This is the last thing that is holding me up besides the broken outside seat track bolt on the driver's side..........

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Seat Belt bolt help

If your wanting to save the seatbelt I suggest drilling them.

GM uses them because they are faster on the production line.

Thanks N2TRUX. The seat belts are going on the shelf due to my bucket seat swap. I have another set that matches the saddle seats and console I pulled from an 80' Suburban.
