Need an idea of the cost of AC and altenator brackets for 1973+ trucks???
I own a 1971 Cheyenne Super 4x4 and have recently changed the crossmember and motor mounts from a 1973+ style and was wondering what some prices run for items??? I need to know how much a air conditioning bracket that holds the compressor to motor block usually runs, the matching altenator brackets for an a/c equipped truck of that era, and possibly any pullies that you think I might need??? I just need a ballpark of how much I might be spending???? Thanks guys

hmmm.... as with anything in this life, it depends on what you want to get into something... i spent $300 for my set of polished aluminum march performance pulleys, $85 for a matching polished alternator bracket... and you can get as much as $190 in a march perf. polished A/C bracket... it all depends...
now, i have all my original pulleys forsale... from my '75 350... let me know if your interested... lemme post some pix... |

Thanks for the offer 75stepside, but I am looking for the brackets to have a/c too. Or does a 73+ style pickup have the a/c compressor on the driver's side??? I am not for sure. Right now, my dad wants to just put on the alternator brackets and I won't have A/c but I just wanted to find all the A/c stuff for it. I was thinking that I could use my stock a/c mounting brackets except the one that hooks to the motor. Then of course I will need the alternator brackets that will fit about the power steering setup for I have already replaced the power steering set up out of a 75 or 81 truck. Thanks man

Might look into upgrading into the serpentine system. Thy have kits with AC compressor, alt, and p/s with all brackets and hardware in a kit.
