Any Bucket Seat Pics
Looking to put bucket seats in my 66.
|
Re: Any Bucket Seat Pics
These are the ones in my 60. They are Procar low back, and are available from Summit and Speedway. Mine are about 7 years old and remain as new, which is very comfortable. They are relatively stiff, which I require due to bad back problems.

Re: Any Bucket Seat Pics
Hey Mark, everytime you post pictures of your truck I think "Man that thing is *****in'!. You da man.
How thick are the backs of those seats? They just look right, not to new, not to old. Asking about the backs 'cause I don't want to be any closer to the steering wheel, if ya know what I mean. Is your steering column stock? Thanks, |

The steering column is one I bought from Butchs' Rod Shop nearly 20 years ago. I needed something that would bolt in when I changed to the power steering and it fit. Over time however, it really bothered me since the steering wheel was too close to the driver. So, I relieved about an inch from the top of the bell that bumped into the dash lip, and moved it forward that amount. It's now just about an ideal placement for me. There are times I wish I had just kept the stock column, shortened the shaft and and moved the steering wheel closer to the dash, since I rarely use the tilt feature. Before the Procar seats I had Recaros. They were comfortable for a while, but turned painful almost overnight (they wore out quickly). They also never really looked right in the truck. If I can find some pics I'll post those too. Thanks for the compliment! |

Re: Any Bucket Seat Pics
Yes, those are the seats in my truck. Hopefully the quality remains the same as when I bought mine. The covers look a little loose in the catalog shot. Could be they were freshly built and hadn't settled in yet. Mine have always been nice and tight. They have been a great value. The Recaros cost well over twice as much and only lasted about 2 years.

Re: Any Bucket Seat Pics
Newer mustang. Driver side power, V6 model ragtop. Quite low, but they were comfortable. I'm back to a bench now, as I like the room and the third passenger option.

Mine are black leather buckets out of a 2001 Mercury Marauder. 6-way power, etc.
