"Crimson" Jim's 87' K30 build
Hey guys, the reason why my "Bluedress rebuild" is pieces around our garage and not back together is because it was my father's turn to have a nice truck. My father has helped me through the years getting my truck and Chevelle going, as it's are bonding time. Dad has his eye on this 87' Silverado since the day a friend of his bought it new. His friend passed away and the truck got used on his brother's farm and never seen the car wash. Time took it's toll on the truck until my father was able to finally purchase the truck. Anyway, we started this truck in late March/early April, and it has been just about finished for awhile. The truck is a 1987 K30 Silverado. Motor is TBI 454, 465 manual trans, and 205 t.c. We decided to redo the truck back to how it used to be besides adding a tach dash and carpet. Anyway, without further delay, "Crimson"

Re: "Crimson" Jim's 87' K30 build
We used bondo to fill all the rust in the rocker panels and cab corners:metal:
.......joking We had to replace floor pans, rocker panels, cab corners, and complete bed. We found a barely used NOS dash pad and NOS manual door panels on craigslist in Iowa and picked them up. I redyed the interior pieces to match closely, though in pics, it looks a lot more pinkish than it really is. Recovered the seat, and sprayed a new basecoat/clear paintjob. I still need to finish restoring the door panel trim and finish the exterior trim on the passenger door and fender, but I have to buff those pieces yet still. Thanks for looking guys. Trevor |

Looks great... That was an awesome start running gear wise Looks like a stout truck. Cool to see one not all jacked up for a change

Re: "Crimson" Jim's 87' K30 build
Very nice truck! And great job restoring it! Those years of trucks 88-91 1tons are almost a breed of their own when you go to the parts store. That's how it is with my brother's V30 crew cab 4x4.
