Aluminum cover for SM465 trans?
 

As I understand it the later models of SM465 transmissions got an aluminum top cover as opposed to the big hunk of cast iron that I have in my '79. Is this something I could swap onto my old trans, and would it save a worthy amount of weight? Being an old 1 ton I'm trying to lighten the truck up as much as possible...
