68 4wd K-20 GMC...V6 resto mod
i recently picked up a 68 k20 w/ a 305 V6. this was a one owner truck owned by a farm in upstate NY. of couse due to the horrible weather up there it is in need of some rust repair... well actually alot of rust repair. i orig decided to just buy rockers, cab corners and a few otherpatch panels and braces. however, after cutting most of the rust out i'm finding that i may just need a whole new floor.

Looks like its going to be a nice truck. Love the 4wd GMC's!! Always great to see another GMC 4wd guy.

well after seeing how much frankensteining i had to do on the floor i decided to bring these parts back and exchange them for a full floor.
i got these from Tri-Proautomotive which is only 20min from my house. i called them this morning and explained the situation. they told me to come on down and they could swap the parts out no problem. i would just like to say they they are very stand up people over there. i didn't even have an invoice for the one part and there was no hastle. i would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some quality parts. here are some pics of the new floor. i'm hoping to at least get the old one cut out this weekend. i have to do a 4 link on my friends s10 so it'll be a busy weekend. i also scored a brand new set of 8" skyjacker leafs for the front for $150 http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...1-11115817.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...1-11115859.jpg |

Yeah, that truck had a lot of character :lol:
Its really not dry here at all, but for some reason I seem to find a lot of not so rusty stuff Any progress on your truck ??? |

You should start a build thread in the 1988 - 1998 about the RCSB with the 12v. Do you have any pictures of it?
