Turbo 350/400 Column Linkage

I have a 71 longbed with a turbo 350 that I want to put a turbo 400 in. Does/is the linkage/shift arm/bracket at the trans transfer from the 350 to the 400 or is this bracket different. Thanks all in advance for your help. Be well.

It will transfer over. The shifter shaft on the 2 transmissions are just about in the identical spot. The linkage gets different when changing over to a big block

Thanks for your response kwmech. I presume that the input shaft is different as well and that the trans crossmember needs to be relocated reward if I'm not mistaken.

Input shaft? Input is the same. You could even use the t350 convertor is you want. The rear output is different, you'll need a different yoke for the driveline. Yes X-member will have to moved almost 2''. I even think the cooler lines will hit in the same spot. Shorter vac line to the modulator and if you want passing gear, that will have to be wired in.

Thanks again kwmech for your response. I see you caught my mistake in terminology by stating the "input shaft" when I meant to refer to the yoke. If memory serves, won't I also have to shorten the driveshaft as well?
