My 02 making a screech noise

I noticed yesterday on my way home from work. I was at a stop light, when i started to accelerate i would here a screech noise coming from the engine compartment. Am thinking it may be the belt.

Probably your serp. belt.
Remember to check your a/c belt as well.Is a seperate V belt behind the serp. belt.
Seem to find little specks of metal build up in those serp. belts over time.

When should the belts be replaced. I have 108,000 on my truck

It all depends on the condition of the belts.
Chances are you are due for at least a serp belt.
Fairly common for them to squeek or chrip with a few miles on them.
At least they are a cheap fix.
