2005 Tahoe 20" Wheel upgrade question

I have 2005 Tahoe with factory 16s on it and have bought some 20" GM factory upgrades w/275/55/20 tires. What all does it take to change over, speedo recal, TPMS sensors , etc...???

I have a similar rig... Just swap over the tire sensors and you should be fine. Just make sure the diameter of the tires you have now match the new ones.. If your new ones are bigger or smaller you will have to adjust your speedo, or just live with it.

Does dealership have to adjust speedo or something I can do? As far as tire sensors how exactly would that be done, tire have to be broke down I know but I read somewhere you have to buy new bands or something?

Your new tires are 1.3 inches bigger then the other ones. Speedo will be off, but thats up to you.. They sell speedo adjustmenters. Just do an online search. I wouldnt worry about it at all though.

when swappping sensors mark which corner of the vehical they come off of, if not you have to recalibrate and its kinda a pain. but any good tire shop will know that.

That isn't true. You don't recalibrate after a rotation.

I've never had an issue on my 05 Tahoe...

once you make the swap. Hit the higway with a GPS and check... if you ever buy one of those computer programers they usually have a speedo adjustment. If it's within a few MPH I wouldn't worry. More than that and you're tranny could act different (shift points)
